Health and safety policy and instructions release – May 2025

Two policy statements have been updated while three instructions have been issued

New or updated health and safety policies are now released on a biannual basis (November and May). In May 2025, the policy statements and implementation toolkits were provided for:

  • S1/25 Occupational Transport (revision of policy S2/07)

  • S2/25 Management of Work with Ionising Radiation (revision of policy S1/12)

Each policy statement and toolkit are supported by a series of additional resources, such as guidance documents and FAQs.

Additionally, three new instructions were issued in the May 2025 release:

  • I1/25 High Containment Laboratories - Required Actions

  • I2/25 Supervisor & Line Manager - Required Safety Training

  • I3/25 Overseas Travel & Fieldwork - Required Safety Training
